Every rewrite comes back as exactly three versions, with the middle one recommended. This is what the three are for, what the spectrum between them means, and what happens after you pick one.

The number
Why three, and not one
One version would be Tildi deciding for you. A dozen would be a menu to agonise over, which is the thing you were already doing. Three is enough to feel a difference and few enough to choose between in a moment.
One would be a verdict. You would have no way to disagree with it.
Ten would move the agonising rather than end it.
Three is enough to see the axis you are choosing along.

The number
They run gentler to firmer
The three are not attempts of increasing quality. They are the same message at three settings of the same dial, and which one is right depends on the moment rather than on craft.
The middle one is recommended, not correct.
Read the firmest one even when you are sure you want the gentle one: it often clarifies what you actually mean.
If all three feel wrong in the same direction, the intention is the thing to change.

The worry
It will not make you sound like a robot
Tildi’s core rule is that it must never make you sound like someone else: only like yourself, with more clarity. A version that is more polished but less like you has failed, even if it reads well.
Your ordinary habits are kept on purpose, not smoothed away.
It is not trying to raise your writing to some general standard.
If a version does not sound like you, it is the wrong version. Take another, or edit it.

After you choose
Editing one costs nothing, and teaches Tildi
The version you take is a starting point, and changing it by hand is often faster and better than running the whole thing again. It also does not spend an action, and it is the single most useful thing you can tell Tildi about your voice.
Edit before you copy, or before you save.
After a successful Copy, Tildi can record whether your correction became shorter or more direct, never the words themselves.
Saving is only a bookmark. It never teaches Tildi.
A saved entry holds the version as you left it.
Running the rewrite again is a new action. Editing is not.

The last step
Tildi does not send anything
There is no connected inbox, no send button, and no scheduled delivery. Copy is always the action: you paste it where you were already writing and send it yourself.
Nothing leaves Tildi addressed to anyone.
The gap between copying and sending is deliberate. It is where you get to change your mind.
Saving a version is for you, and does not send it either.
