Tildi Free keeps each message natural. Unfold goes further: it remembers the abstract shape of how you write, from samples and corrections you deliberately choose to teach it.

What it is
Nine settings, not a copy of your writing
Unfold’s writing-voice profile is a short description of how you write, held as categories. “Medium sentences.” “Semi-formal.” “Warm.” It is closer to a set of dials than to a record of anything you have said.
Six traits: sentence length, formality, exclamations, emoji, warmth, and directness.
Three habits: whether you use slang, ellipses, and sentence fragments.
Every one of them is a category, never a stored example of your writing.

How it changes
It learns only when you deliberately teach it
With Unfold active, Tildi can learn from writing samples you submit on purpose, from a one-tap “Teach Tildi” choice on a result, or from a version you materially edit and copy in the web writing room. The words are never added to the learning ledger.
One-tap feedback is a closed choice such as “sounds like me,” “too formal,” or “too long.” Only that choice and bounded context are sent.
Seven directions are recorded: less, unchanged, or more. Never the words.
Your draft and the version are compared on your device; neither is sent.
A trait moves one step at a time, and only on a clear majority: one unusual message changes nothing.
Saving, typing, navigating, generated output, and taking a version untouched teach nothing.

How it changes
Give it samples, or set the profile by hand
Both controls belong to Unfold. Give Tildi at least three samples when you want a fresh starting point, or adjust a category yourself when you know exactly what does not sound like you.
Learning from samples is limited to 3 requests a day within 10 a month.
That allowance is separate from the Rewrite, Second Read, and Prepare pool.
Every setting can be changed by hand while Unfold is active.
Samples are used for that request and are not saved in Tildi’s server-side application database.
Generated rewrites are never treated as examples of how you write.

Making it yours
A starting point, not a verdict
Everything here is editable while Unfold is active. If a setting does not sound like you, change it. You can pause correction learning, clear what those corrections found, or delete the entire learned profile.
Read the six traits first; they move the result most.
Change anything that does not sound like you, and change it back if it reads worse.
The private “What Tildi learned” snapshot shows the current register, evidence count, and any learned relationship voices.
Each saved person shows their relationship voice separately, with a control to forget only that learned pattern.
Learning can be switched off immediately. Forget restores the seven driftable traits to your latest deliberately saved or sample-learned profile and clears learned per-person register.
Delete learned voice removes the profile, its learning baseline, correction signals, receipts, and learned per-person register.

What Tildi keeps
Categories sync. Phrases never do
The distinction the profile screen prints under its own heading is the whole privacy story: what is held is the category, not the writing the category was derived from.
Stored: categories, like “medium sentences”.
Stored: the directions your edits moved in, as seven values of less, unchanged, or more.
Not stored: your drafts, example phrases, or anything used for training.
Only traits sync between devices. Never phrases, examples, or drafts.

What it does for you
Unfold remembers; Free starts fresh
While Unfold is active, the profile shifts the baseline underneath the choices you make each time. Free uses Tildi’s natural default profile for each request and never attaches remembered examples, rules, or learned relationship register.
The intention still decides what the message does.
The person still decides how carefully to tread with this reader.
The profile decides what “sounding like you” means underneath both.
Tildi also learns the register you reach for with each person: bounded, so the intention you pick always wins.
After a downgrade, the exact saved profile remains visible but paused until Unfold is active again; you can still reset or delete it.
